This tool adds a new Geometry Tag property (text) to all objects that have a 3D geometry. If two objects have a identical geometry they will get the same tag. This is true also when the geometries are rotated differently. As a result the Geometry Tag property will have a unique value for each unique geometry in the model.

This tool is useful for example when you trim unnecessary detail from a structural steel model.

1. Create a Custom Quick Select that is not bound to any object class
2. Activate the custom Quick Select
3. In the 3D palette select one object you want to exclude, for example a bolt. This will automatically select all bolts with a identical geometry.
4. Drag and drop the selected objects into the Excluded 3D bucket
